On Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, at 11:40 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported aggravated assault that had just occurred at Broadway Park, 501 N Broadway, Turlock, after a transient woman had tased a fellow transient during a verbal altercation.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the victim, witnesses, and the suspect, later identified as Jeannine Damon, 51, of Turlock.

The victim and witnesses reported to officers that Damon and the victim were in some sort of verbal altercation next to one of the picnic tables. When the victim turned away and had her back towards Damon, Damon, out of anger, tased her using a flashlight taser combo device.

Damon stated that she was acting in self defense and was in fear, however, this was unfounded because the victim had her back to Damon when Damon tased her.

Damon was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of assault with a stun gun.
