With a little extra trash from the mountains of ripped up wrapping paper, Turlock residents need not worry if their normal trash collection day falls on Christmas this year.

Turlock Scavenger will be closed on Christmas Day and will not be collecting trash that day, but residents who normally have their trash collected on Thursday will have their trash picked up on Friday, Dec. 26.

Those who normally receive trash service on Fridays will have their trash collected on Saturday, Dec. 27.

A similar schedule will be in place next week, as Turlock Scavenger will be closed for New Year’s Day.

Turlock Scavenger will be servicing the normal Thursday route on Jan. 2 and the normal Friday route on Jan. 3.

Garbage service will continue as normal on days not listed above.
