Tree fire extends to trailer with unknown substance Thursday afternoon

On Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, at 1:35 pm, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire at 4642 Taylor Ct, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a tree fire that had extended to a trailer on the property.

With the assistance of a water tender each from the Turlock Rural Fire Protection District and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent any further spread.

The trailer that the fire had extended to was found to have an unknown substance in it, so Stanislaus County Environmental Resources responded to investigate. They determined that the substance was not hazardous.

No injuries were reported.

It’s currently unknown how the fire started. The Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation unit responded to investigate that.
