On Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at 1:13 am, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at a residence in the 3800 block of W Barnhart Rd, Turlock.

The property owner stated that he had been having ongoing issues with people coming onto his property to steal copper wiring and that he had encountered a woman, later identified as Dynasty Climer, 40, of Keyes, in a vehicle on his property.

The property owner eventually confronted Climer and she began driving her vehicle toward him. The property owner, who was lawfully armed with a firearm, immediately became concerned for his safety and discharged at Climer’s vehicle in an attempt to disable it.

Another vehicle that was likely associated with Climer then sped away from the area.

Deputies conducted their preliminary investigation, interviewed witnesses, and took Climer’s vehicle and the property owner’s firearm for evidentiary purposes. The investigation revealed that entry had been forced onto the property indicative of likely a burglary or larceny attempt of some sort.

Climer was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of trespassing.

The investigation remains ongoing. Once completed, it will be submitted to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office for a review of the legality involving the discharge of a firearm.
