Trespasser wanted for meth possession arrested on same charge early Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, at 2:05 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at GK Mongolian BBQ, 2300 W Monte Vista Ave, Turlock, after a man who was asked to leave by security had refused.

Officers arrived on scene and found that the man, later identified as Benjamin Alvers, 37, of Denair, had moved to QuikStop, 2406 W Monte Vista Ave.

Officers identified Alvers and had their dispatcher run him. He returned with a local misdemeanor $3,000 warrant for possession of methamphetamines.

A subsequent search of Alvers’ belongings led to the discovery of additional methamphetamines.

Alvers was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines as well as his warrant.
