Trespasser with meth arrested after leading officers on short foot pursuit Saturday afternoon

On Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 2:26 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at a residence in the 400 block of High St, Turlock, where a man was refusing to leave the caller’s porch.

When officers arrived on scene, the man, later identified as Shaquille Pleasant, 28, of Merced, had left the residence.

Officers began searching the area for Pleasant and eventually located him nearby. When officers attempted to make contact with him, he took off running and a brief foot pursuit ensued. Pleasant was eventually caught and arrested without further incident.

During a search of Pleasant’s person incident to arrest, officers located methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.

Pleasant was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines, obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty, trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
