The Turlock Journal and California State University, Stanislaus is hosting a Turlock City Council candidate debate on October 16, 2008 at 7pm.

The following is a tentative schedule for the debate.

I. Opening remarks: CSUS VP and Kristina Hacker, editor of the Turlock Journal and debate moderator
II. Group questions to be answered in order determined by pre-debate random draw of names. Two-minute candidate response time for each question.
III. One individual question for each candidate. Two-minute candidate response time for each question.
IV. Voting scorecard with 30-second responses from each candidate for each motion.
V. Fifteen-minute candidate roundtable discussion on homelessness in Turlock.
VI. Questions from the audience. One-minute responses from each candidate.
VII. Closing statements, two minutes per candidate.
