Brandon McMillan/TurlockCityNews.com|

Many may not know, but the Turlock Fire Department offers free station tours and public education presentations.

Citizens can tour any of the four fire stations in Turlock or watch one of several fire safety presentations, including fire extinguisher training.

Each tour or presentation lasts about 30 to 45 minutes and includes public education materials, handouts and demonstrations of fire safety, depending on age group.

All tour or presentation requests must be made at least one month in advance. After a request is submitted, the Fire Department’s Administrative Staff will verify the department’s schedule and contact the individual making the request. A tour or presentation is not approved until the time and date are confirmed with the contact.

Requests can be made by filling out the request form, here.

The fire stations in Turlock are located at 540 E. Marshall St., 791 S. Walnut Rd., 501 E. Monte Vista Ave. and 2820 N. Walnut Rd.

For more information, call the Turlock Fire Department at 209-668-5580.
