Turlock Irrigation District Agenda for May 28

The Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors is set to recognize retiring employees, create a new pump district, and hear a swath of reports on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors is expected to:
• Hold a public hearing to finalize the creation of a new improvement district. The district, to be known as the Pelliccia Pump No. 2, would contain 179 acres and serve a variety of landowners.
• Issue certificates recognizing the retirement of employees Lynn Clay and Dale McElhaney. Clay, a human resources analyst, has been with the district for 33 years. McElhaney, a crew supervisor for pest control and facilities, has been with the district for 32 years.
• Hear regular weekly updates on electrical service, power generation, irrigation water availability, and the status of the irrigation season.
• Cancel the TID board meeting of May 28.
• Hear a report on the district's Power Supply Adjustment fee, which changes to represent the actual cost of producing energy as gas prices fluctuate.
• In closed session, discuss the case of Elligott v. TID, which currently sits before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. A separate case of anticipated litigation will also be discussed.
• In closed session, discuss purchasing a portion of the Pacific Northwest Intertie, a power line which sits in both Washington and Oregon. The purchase would allow TID to more easily transport and sell electricity generated at its Klickitat County, Wash. Tuolumne Wind Project.

The TID Board of Directors is scheduled to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the board room of the TID Main Office Building, 333 E. Canal Dr.
