Turlock Irrigation District to Consider Surplussing Old Vehicles

The Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors will consider declaring 17 vehicles no longer necessary for district purposes, and selling those vehicles to the highest bidder.

The surplus vehicles are nearly all Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet trucks and vans, dating from 1991 to 2008. All have reached the end of their useful life with more than 100,000 miles, or have sustained frame damage.

The district reviews its list of vehicles and equipment annually, surplussing those no longer needed.

Two compressors and a pole trailer are also due to be surplussed.

On Tuesday, the Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors is also scheduled to:
• Hear regular weekly updates on electrical service, power generation, and irrigation water availability.
• Hear a monthly report on activities of the Water Resources Administration.
• Hear an update on activities of the Don Pedro Board of Control.
• Cancel the regular TID board meeting of Aug. 20, and approve the payment of warrants for the period of Aug. 14 through Aug. 20.

The TID Board of Directors will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the board room of the TID Main Office Building, 333 E. Canal Dr.
