A Turlock man pled guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography in court on Monday.

According to court documents, Jeffrey Randall Metcalfe, 47, used a website to communicate with persons interested in exchanging images of child pornography between January 2012 and Dec. 1, 2013, the United States Department of Justice reports.

Metcalfe knowingly received and distributed more than 600 images of child pornography, some of which were images of violence and prepubescent minors.

Metcalfe now faces 15 to 40 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 15.

This case was the product of an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Turlock Police Department.
