Two Turlock massage parlors were investigated on Wednesday, after the Turlock Police Department received tips that the businesses were involved in activities related to prostitution.
After thorough reviews, five citations were issued for failing to keep records of treatments, employing unlicensed masseuses, and breaking fire and building codes. The investigation into vice activity is ongoing, police said.
The two massage parlors investigated were Gold Bath Massage, located at 2109 Fulkerth Rd., and Wellness Massage, located at 2715 Geer Rd., Turlock police spokesperson Mayra Lewis has confirmed
Turlock police, in partnership with agents from the Employment Development Department, Department of Labor Standards Enforcement, interviewed employees, owners, and clients of each business. The Turlock Fire Marshal and Building Inspector conducted a complete inspection of the buildings, as well.
Turlock police plan to conduct more operations of this type in the future, they said.
