Following a standoff that last multiple hours on Thursday night, Turlock police were unable to locate the suspect upon entering the residence.

While investigating a domestic dispute, Turlock police were lead to a residence on the 1900 block of Marshall Street, near N. Johnson Road.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, a male suspect, whose name is not being released at this time, was involved in a domestic dispute with a female victim.

The suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim’s head, said Lewis.

During the course of the investigation, police reached the residence where they believed the suspect was housed, said Turlock police spokesperson Lt. James Silveira.

Officers surrounded the house for several hours with guns drawn as they attempted to talk the suspect out of the house over a megaphone.

After the suspect failed to come out of the residence, officers entered the home but were unable to locate the suspect, said Lewis.

Officers did however locate the firearm, which turned out to be a pellet gun, said Lewis.

The incident remains under investigation.
