At approximately 8:15am this morning a school bus carrying 43 students was involved in an accident at the intersection of N. Palm Street and E. Olive Avenue in Turlock. None of the students were injured enough so that they were transported to the hospital.
The bus was traveling north bound on N. Palm Street on its way to Julien Elementary School. A car ran a stop light going westbound on E. Olive Avenue and hit the bus. The bus then collided with some trees, shrubs, and parked cars before coming to a stop.
Both CHP and school officials were on site to assist the emergency personnel. There were no serious injuries and the students were transported to Julien Elementary by 9:15 a.m. and in their respective classrooms for their school day.
Parents were notified and if they chose to go to Julien to pick up their children or check on them, they were able to.
