Turlock School Employees Nominated for Stanislaus County Award

The first Turlock Unified School District (TUSD) Board meeting of 2012 packed the house leaving standing room only. Although the agenda was full of business items, many of the people were attending to support the nominees for Stanislaus County’s "Employees Making a Difference" award.

This award is given to classified employees such as Campus Supervisors, Administrative Secretaries, Custodians and other support staff. Employees were nominated by their fellow staff at each school site for going above and beyond on their jobs.

Nominees from TUSD will be selected to participate in a regional and state competition.

Bonnie Bishop, Special Education Para Professional, Cunningham – 9 years
Rhonda Brazil, Campus Supervisor, Julien – 8 years
Michelle Carrillo, Secretary 1, Osborn – 8 years
Flaviola Cisneros, Administrative Secretary, Pitman -15 years
Vicki Corgiat, Administrative Secretary, eCademy Charter at Crane – 27 years
Gus Delgadillo, Lead Custodian, Earl – 6 years
Roberta Gomes, Administrative Secretary, Turlock High School – 23 years
Lucy Hildebrand, Secretary III, Turlock High School – 19 years
Julianne Lobao, ESL Para Professional, Julien – 7 years
Cathy Margherita, Administrative Secretary, Turlock Junior High School – 14 years
Maria Rodrigues, Lead Custodian, Sandra Tovar Medeiros – 29 years
Maria Silva, Para Professional, Wakefield – 17 years
Brenda Zuidervaart, Special Education Para Professional, THS – 22 years

Also on the agenda was the start of the budget and labor negotiations process for the 2012-2013 school year.
