The City of Turlock will recognize Public Works Week this week, from May 18 to 24.
"This is the week that we honor the men and women who help to maintain our city," said Turlock Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Director Allison Van Guilder.
The week is intended to honor the parks, water, sewer, street, landscape and facility maintenance crews who keep Turlock working.
Turlock Public Works crews will be in attendance at the Turlock Certified Farmers Market on May 23 to display their high-tech large machinery. Staff will be able to answer questions about what they do.
A proclamation was also read in the week's honor by Turlock Mayor John Lazar.
