TurlockCityNews.com Honors Kaepernick with Redesign

Pressert Marketing|

For the second consecutive year, Turlock's only locally-owned and operated news source will pay tribute to hometown hero Colin Kaepernick.

The familiar blue, gold, and gray look of TurlockCityNews.com will go on hiatus for the remainder of Kaepernick's run to the Super Bowl, replaced with the red and gold of the San Francisco 49ers.

Kaepernick, a Pitman High School graduate, has quarterbacked the 49ers into the NFL playoffs for the second consecutive year. The 49ers will face the Carolina Panthers in in the Divisional Playoffs on Sunday, after defeating the Green Bay Packers 23-20 in a Wild-Card Game Sunday.

The short-term redesign for desktop computers features a gold header with red stripes, evoking the San Francisco 49ers' helmet design. Images of Kaepernick flank either side of the main layout along with the text “2014 Quest for Six,” referencing the team's quest for a sixth Super Bowl title.

The Kaepernick-inspired theme was crafted by web designer Jimmy Lesondak, of Pressert Marketing.
