TUSD Offers Parenting Class for Coping with Holidays

Feeling like the holidays aren’t the most wonderful time of year? The Turlock Unified School District is offering a free Coping During the Holidays parenting workshop.

The first class will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Dec. 5 in Room 102 at the District Office, located at 1574 E. Canal Dr.. The second class is offered from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the District Office, rooms WW5 and WW7.

Presenters will include school psychologists and mental health clinicians. Presentations will discuss traveling for the holidays with children, coping with grief and loss during the holidays, finding creative way to make what you have work for you, and developing tools for children to transition back to school.

Food and snacks will be provided, and child care will be available for the 6 to 7:30 p.m. session only. Also, a Spanish translator will be provided upon request.

To attend, RSVP to the TUSD Special Education Office at (209) 667-8519. Please note which session is preferred, and if a translator is needed.
