TUSD Warning Parents of Recent Attacks on Female Students

The Turlock Unified School District is warning parents of three attacks on students that occurred Monday and Tuesday. Turlock police are still looking for the suspect in the attacks.

TUSD sent an automated message to parents on Tuesday morning notifying them that a male suspect assaulted three female students in separate incidents. The first occurred at 3:50 p.m. on Monday and the other two followed at 7:20 a.m. and 7:25 a.m. Tuesday.

The three incidents all happened in the area of Christoffersen Parkway, between McKenna Drive and Walnut Road. Turlock Junior High School, Walnut Elementary Education Center, and Medeiros Elementary School are all in the area.

According to the call received by parents, the suspect is a Caucasian male described by victims as being in his mid-20s, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds, standing between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with light brown or reddish hair and scruffy facial hair.

The suspect was described as wearing jeans and a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt during Monday’s attack, and tan/brown pants, a dark hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses during Tuesday’s attacks.

TUSD is working closely with Turlock police to identify and apprehend the suspect.

All three students are safe and attended school today, according to the automated call.

TUSD asks that parents take “precaution before and after school until this person is apprehended.”
