At about 5:52pm Monday, Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred in the 100 block of Almond Avenue.

The caller reported two men had just left the area in a newer silver sedan who had been outside with guns and were wearing masks.

Officers arrived in the area and began checking, but were initially unable to locate the vehicle.

Eventually, the caller relocated the vehicle at the Chevron in the 800 block of N. Golden State Boulevard.

Officers arrived at the Chevron and after a couple minutes, observed the vehicle leave and return to the 100 block of Almond Avenue.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, a high-risk stop was conducted where the vehicle’s two occupants were detained at gunpoint.

The two were asked to identify themselves and driver Samian Sivansay, 24, of Modesto, did so, however, passenger Alexis Reyes, 23, of Riverbank, identified himself as a relative.

When officers had their dispatcher run the two names provided, they discovered that Sivansay was on post release community supervision for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic.

During a subsequent PRCS search of the vehicle, officers located firearms and narcotics.

Sivansay and Reyes were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of conspiracy, possession of cannabis for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of more than 28.5 grams of cannabis or eight grams of concentrated cannabis, and violation of probation. Sivansay was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded and operable firearm, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and violation of post release community supervision, while Reyes was also charged with false personation and carrying a loaded firearm.

Additionally, their vehicle was impounded.
