Two arrested for drug sale related charges after traffic stop Sunday night

On Sunday, March 6th, 2022, at 8:46 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Geer Rd and Starr Ave, Turlock, observed a driver violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer got out with the driver and identified him as Kenneth Schendel, 42, of Turlock. When the officer ran a wants and warrants check on Schendel, he discovered that he was on probation for a drug related charge and searchable by any peace officer at any time.

The officer went to Schendel’s residence to conduct a probation search and came in contact with another resident in the home who was also on probation, Cheyenne Ehtaridge, 46, of Turlock.

Inside the residence, several different drugs were found, including some that appeared to be for sale as well as some drug sale paraphernalia and ammunition that both subjects were prohibited from possessing.

Both Schendel and Etharidge were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines for sale, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of a controlled substance.
