Two arrested for felony warrants during traffic stop Thursday evening

On Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, at 6:21 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of northbound State Route 99 and Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s occupants and identified them as Arturo Cervantes, 44, of Stockton and Tina Gonzales, 44, of Modesto.

The officer had his dispatcher run both subjects and both returned with felony warrants. Cervantes for grand theft and Gonzales for bringing a controlled substance or drug paraphernalia into a jail or prison. Gonzales also returned with an additional misdemeanor warrant for identity theft.

Both were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrants.
