Two Arrested for Shooting on First Street

Two men are in custody for their role in a shooting and pursuit that occurred early on Friday in Turlock.

The Turlock Police Department received a 911 call for a physical fight on the 100 block of South First Street just after 2 a.m.

When officers were arriving on scene, one of the suspects shot a firearm and a bullet struck a parked vehicle, reports the Turlock Police Department.

Three suspects ran to a black Chevrolet Camaro and fled the scene. A pursuit ensued until officers terminated the pursuit when they lost sight of the vehicle.

A short time later, the Camaro was located after having been involved in a collision.

Officers conducted a search of the area and with the help of a police canine were able to locate two of the suspects.

Mario Garandia, 20, and Julio Mancillas, 24, both of Turlock, were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail assault with a firearm and resisting arrest. Mancillas was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The third suspect was not located and no description is available.

No injuries were reported.
