Two Big Rigs Stolen in Turlock Located at Merced Chop Shop

On Friday, October 20th, the Turlock Police Department took a report of a big rig being stolen from C Street and Fifth Street.

The following day, on Saturday, the California Highway Patrol took a report of another being stolen in the 2000 block of Paulson Road.

The Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force (StanCATT) was notified of both thefts and began investigating.

StanCATT investigators were led to FC Metal Exchange in the 300 block of State Route 59 in Merced, where they executed a search warrant.

During the service of the search warrant, investigators discovered a chop shop consisting of eight stolen vehicles, a majority of which were big rigs. Amongst the big rigs were the two taken in Turlock.
