Two DUI arrests made early Saturday morning

On Saturday, May 21st, 2022, at 12:33 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of N Golden State Blvd and Geer Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver, whose identity is currently unknown, and noticed that he was exhibiting signs of being under the influence, so he asked him to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. The subject agreed and completed all three of them. The subject was then asked to blow into a preliminary alcohol screening device, which he also agreed to.

Based on the subject’s performance on the tests, the results of the preliminary alcohol screening device, his driving, and the totality of the circumstances, the officer determined that he was indeed under the influence of alcohol.

The subject was arrested and released on a citation on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater. He was also issued a driver’s license suspension order and his vehicle was impounded.

As soon as the first subject was released, at 1:23 am, another officer near the intersection of Julian St and N Soderquist Rd, observed another vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with that vehicle’s driver, Luisaalejandra Casillassantillan, 19, of Red Bluff, and noticed that she was also exhibiting signs of being under the influence, so he asked her to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. Based on Casillassantillan’s performance on the tests, the results of the preliminary alcohol screening device, her driving, and the totality of the circumstances, the officer determined that she was indeed under the influence of alcohol.

Casillassantillan was arrested and released on a citation on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater. She was also issued a driver’s license suspension order and her vehicle was impounded.
