Two injured in rear-end style collision Thursday afternoon

On Thursday, November 4th, 2021, at 3:19 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries in the 2100 block of W Taylor Rd, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they located three vehicles involved. One was a blue Toyota SUV, one was a gray Nissan sedan, and the other was a black Dodge pickup truck.

The blue Toyota SUV had two occupants, both of which were uninjured, the gray Nissan sedan had three occupants, one of which suffered moderate injuries and was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital, and the black Dodge pickup truck had three occupants, one of which suffered minor injuries and was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

The blue Toyota SUV sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene, the gray Nissan sedan sustained major damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away, and the black Dodge pickup truck sustained moderate damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.

Witnesses reported that all three vehicles were traveling eastbound on West Taylor Road, when for an unknown reason, the blue Toyota SUV was rear-ended by the gray Nissan sedan, which then caused the black Dodge pickup truck to rear end the gray Nissan sedan.
