On Monday, June 19th, 2023, at 2:15 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported shoplifting that had just occurred at Kohl’s, 2751 Countryside Dr, Turlock, after two men had exited the business with a duffle bag full of makeup that they hadn’t paid for.

While officers were responding, they were informed that the men had gotten into a 2007 Toyota Sienna that was leaving the parking lot.

An arriving officer located the vehicle near the intersection of Countryside Dr and W Monte Vista Ave, where he made a traffic stop on it.

The vehicle’s two occupants were removed and detained in handcuffs. They were identified as Angelo Miclescu, 19, of Manteca, and Noris Buzdugan, 33, of Manteca.

During a search of the vehicle, the duffle bag containing the stolen property was located.

An in-field show-up was conducted and both subjects were positively identified as the men who had stolen.

Miclescu and Buzdugan were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of organized retail theft.
