Two men lead officers on high speed pursuit to Delhi Monday night

On Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at 10:33 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Lander Ave and Vermont Ave, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he attempted to make a traffic stop on it, however, it failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.

The vehicle made its way eastbound through town and eventually left town southbound on N Vincent Rd from East Ave. The officer continued chasing it on N Vincent Rd until he lost it near the intersection of Vincent Rd and San Juan Dr, Delhi.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s airship made it to the termination point of the pursuit within minutes and began searching Delhi for any moving or hot parked vehicles matching the description of the pursuit vehicle, a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, however, were unable to locate anything.

Prior to the officer attempting to make the traffic stop on Lander Ave, the vehicle was getting ready to turn westbound onto Vermont Ave. Vermont Ave was checked shortly later in case the vehicle had returned, however, nothing was located.

The pursuit’s duration was about six minutes and its top speed reached was about 90 miles per hour. Officers were able to tell that the vehicle was occupied by two Hispanic men wearing red clothing.
