At about 10:19am Saturday, Turlock Police responded to a larceny that had just occurred at Walmart Neighborhood Market in the 2400 block of Geer Road.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that the incident was actually a robbery.
Two unidentified men wearing hoodies and gaiters had entered the business and walked towards the customer service area, where they jumped the gate and took two cash registers. While doing so, they pushed an employee out of the way.
The man then fled the area eastbound on E. Minnesota Avenue in a silver Infiniti FX35 with a red stripe on the right side on its right side and another on the front between the fog lights. The vehicle had a temporary operating permit attached to it that belonged to a different vehicle out of Stockton.
About $10,000 in cash was in the registers that were taken.
According to Walmart employees, the same men have been involved in similar incidents at different Walmarts north of Turlock in the past.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that could assist in it is encouraged to call Officer Dustin Ferreira at 209-668-6576.
