On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at 8:12 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported assault and battery in progress at the intersection of N Soderquist Rd and Chestnut St, Turlock.
When officers arrived in the area, they made contact with the victim’s parents, who reported to them that their teenage son had been robbed of his cell phone by two other teenagers who had threatened him.
Officers located two teens matching the descriptions in the area, Angel Juarez, 18, of Turlock, and a 17-year old juvenile male of Turlock, and detained them in handcuffs for further investigation.
The victim was taken to the two detainees and he was able to positively identify them as the teens who had taken his phone.
Both were arrested on charges of robbery and conspiracy. Juarez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, while the 17-year old was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall.
