Two with warrants arrested during traffic stop Thursday night

On Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at 9:53 pm, Turlock Police officers near the intersection of N Tegner Rd and Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so they made a traffic stop on it.

The officers made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants as Joseph Souza, 43, of Turlock, and December Wallace, 32, of Turlock.

When the officers had their dispatcher run the two, Souza returned with a $100,550 felony bench warrant for unlawfully causing a fire and Wallace returned with two misdemeanor bench warrants. The first one was a $5,550 one for possession of methamphetamines and the second one was a $1,000 one for trespassing.

Souza and Wallace were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrants.
