At about 11:48pm Saturday night, Officer Sarah Arroyo observed a driver violate the California Vehicle Code, so she attempted to make a traffic stop on him.
The driver, later identified as Jagjid Singh, 20, continued driving for a short distance before finally pulling over.
Singh then exited his vehicle, despite being given several lawful orders to stay in it, and began approaching Arroyo. He was detained in handcuffs.
Through the investigation, Singh was determined to not speak English and was driving without a valid license.
Singh was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of resisting a peace officer and driving without a valid license.
