On Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, at 8:20 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a warrant service at a residence in the 3800 block of Porto Fino St, Turlock, after a relative of the man with a warrant for 14 felonies who had lied about his name during a traffic stop two nights prior had called to report that he was at her residence.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted the man, Jason Larsen, 34, of Turlock.

Officers had their dispatcher run Larsen to confirm the warrant and he returned with a $250,500 felony bench warrant out of Modesto for kidnapping a person with the intent of holding them for ransom, carjacking, robbery, assault with a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded and operable firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of methamphetamines.

Larsen was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.

Although only seven charges are listed above with only six of them being felonies, some of them had several counts, bringing the total to 15 counts, 14 of which are felonies.

After Larsen had lied about his name during the traffic stop two nights prior, officers had begun extensively searching for him which included visits to the homes of relatives. Officers told his relatives to call if he showed up at their home, which is why this relative did.
