UPDATE: November 16th aggravated assault suspect arrested after brief standoff Wednesday evening

On Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, at 5:22 pm, Turlock Police detectives arrested Nathan Leroy Davis Sharp, 31, of Turlock, at his home in the 1200 block of Lambert Way, Turlock, in connection to the aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at Auto Zone, 1272 Geer Rd.

At about 4:00 pm, SIU officers were conducting surveillance on Sharp when they spotted him entering his residence. SIU officers along with detectives and patrol officers surrounded his residence which led to a brief standoff.

Out off an abundance of caution, neighbors were evacuated from their homes.

After nearly an hour of public address calls made outside his residence calling for his surrender, Sharp ended up emerging from his residence. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Detectives authored a search warrant for the residence and ended up serving it later that evening. Based on the evidence located during the search, Sharp may be facing charges on additional crimes he is suspected to have been involved with.

Sharp was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of battery causing great bodily injury and aggravated assault.
