UPDATE: Second woman from June 17th The Home Depot robbery involving scorpion killer spray arrested Tuesday afternoon

On Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, at 4:20 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported disturbance in progress at Arco AMPM, 2301 Fulkerth Rd, where a woman was yelling at random people for no apparent reason.

When officers arrived in the area, they located the woman in front of Walmart, 2111 Fulkerth Rd and made contact with her, identifying her as Augustina Chavez, 29, of Turlock.

When officers ran Chavez, they discovered that she was wanted in connection to the robbery that had occurred on Friday, June 17th, at The Home Depot, 2800 Countryside Dr.

Chavez was the woman who had sprayed a loss prevention officer with scorpion killer spray while he was confronting her and her accomplice as they were exiting the store with unpaid merchandise.

Chavez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of robbery and conspiracy.
