Vehicle collides with fence and then other vehicle

On Friday, August 7th, 2020, at approximately 5:15 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a call of an injury vehicle collision on Georgia Way between Bates Ct and E Tuolumne Rd. The Turlock Police Department responded alongside American Medical Response. Additionally, the Turlock Fire Department responded with Battalion 4, Squad 32, and Engine 34.

A police unit arrived on scene about 2 minutes after being dispatched, and Engine 34 about 4 minutes after being dispatched. Engine 34 reported that there were two vehicles involved with one patient out of one of the vehicles laying in the grass of a neighboring residence. Other police units began arriving on scene, in addition to Battalion 4. Squad 32 was cancelled while en route.

One vehicle collided with a fence and then another vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate to major damage. The driver of one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the other vehicle suffered no injuries. The one that suffered minor injuries refused transport by ambulance. There was airbag deployment in one vehicle. It was overheard that the driver that caused the collision has vision problems.

The roadway was cleaned up shortly after 6:00 pm. At that time, command was terminated, and all units went clear and available.
