Vehicle strikes small communication pole at fire station Monday evening

On Monday, July 18th, 2022, at 7:13 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with no injuries at Turlock Fire Station 2, 791 S Walnut Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, a gray Acura coupe, which had struck a small communication pole.

The vehicle had a single occupant who did not suffer any injuries.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.

As the vehicle was traveling southbound on S Walnut Rd approaching the fire station, its driver lost control of it and allowed it to veer to the right into the fire station’s parking lot. The driver made a left turn in an attempt to correct and allowed his vehicle to go over some rocks and the fire station’s front lawn. The vehicle then struck a small communication pole and reentered the roadway where it came to final rest in front of the fire station.
