On Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, at approximately 11:00 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a call of a carjacking that had just occurred in the 1200 block of Magic Sands Way. The caller reported that he had his vehicle taken at gunpoint and that it was last seen northbound on N Soderquist Rd from Magic Sands Way.

Officers arrived in the area within minutes and began searching for the vehicle, however, were unable to locate it. Officers then made contact with the victim to obtain a statement. The victim told officers that he came outside to find a man he knew pulling a gun on him and demanding the keys to his vehicle. The victim said that he then handed the keys to his friend and walked away. The suspect then pointed his gun at the friend who had the keys, and that friend gave up the keys without further incident. The suspect drove away in the vehicle northbound on N Soderquist Rd.

The suspect has been identified and is currently wanted for this incident.
