On Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at 11:55 am, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported hit and run with injuries that had just occurred at the Brentwood Apartments, 302 E Hawkeye Ave, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a gray 2006 Scion xA that had been struck by a woman driving a gray 2013 Mazda Mazda3 that had then run over someone’s foot while fleeing the scene.

The person whose foot had been run over only suffered minor injuries.

The gray Mazda3 returned registered to a residence in Denair, so an officer responded out there in an attempt to locate it and its driver.

The officer located the vehicle driving down N Sperry Rd and stopped it at the intersection with E Taylor Rd.

The officer contacted the vehicle’s driver, Jena Osorio, 36, of Denair, and through his investigation was able to confirm that she was who had been driving the vehicle when both of the collisions had occurred.

Osorio was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death to another person.

It’s currently unknown how the first collision occurred.
