Woman arrested after leading officer on short bicycle pursuit takes narcotics into jail Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, at 9:42 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Geer Rd and Twentieth Century Blvd, Turlock, observed a bicyclist violate the California Vehicle Code, so he attempted to make a bicycle stop on her.

The bicyclist failed to yield to the officer and a short bicycle pursuit ensued. The pursuit lasted only a minute and ended in front of a residence in the 1200 block of Geer Rd.

The bicyclist was arrested and identified as Sara Loveless, 42, of Turlock.

Loveless was transported to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center and was found to be in possession of a controlled substance after she had entered the facility.

Loveless was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of bringing or sending a controlled substance or paraphernalia for such into a jail or prison, obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer in the discharge of their duty, and failure by a driver to stop at an intersection while facing a steady circular red signal.
