Woman arrested after stealing over $1,400 worth of merchandise from department store Sunday afternoon

On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at 12:29 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported larceny that had just occurred at Kohl’s, 2751 Countryside Dr, Turlock, after a woman had walked out of the business with a cart full of unpaid merchandise.

While officers were responding, the caller, a loss prevention officer, told dispatch that the woman had gotten into a vehicle in the parking lot and provided a description of the vehicle.

Officers arrived and were able to locate the woman in the vehicle along with several other individuals. She was identified as Gloria Perez, 29, of Los Banos.

The loss prevention officer was able to positively identify Perez as the woman who had stolen their merchandise.

The total value of the merchandise was over $1,400.

Perez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of grand theft.
