At about 10:13pm Tuesday night, Officer Mulhim observed a driver near the Travelodge in the 200 block of W. Glenwood Avenue violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on her.
Mulhim made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Sonya Giron, 39, of Modesto.
When Mulhim had his dispatcher run Giron, he discovered that she had four misdemeanor bench warrants out of Tuolumne County. The first was $50,000 for three counts of failure to appear, the second was $90,000 for four counts of child abuse, the third was $55,000 for driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility to a peace officer, and the fourth $50,000 for five counts of failure to appear.
Giron was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on her warrants.
