Woman arrested on two felony warrants after officers receive information on her whereabouts Tuesday afternoon

On Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, at 4:12 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a warrant service at a residence in the 1600 block of Willow Ln, Turlock, after they had received information that a woman with two felony warrants was at the residence.

The woman who had the warrants was Alexandra Mendez, 38, of Turlock. Her warrants included charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, making criminal threats, child abuse or endangerment under circsumtances likely to produce great bodily harm or death, inflicting cruel or inhumane corporal punishment or an injury resulting in a traumatic condition upon a child, and battery.

When officers arrived at the residence, they were told that the woman, Alexandra Mendez, 38, of Turlock, was not there, however, they were allowed to search the residence for her.

As officers began walking up the stairs and calling out for Mende, she made herself known.

Mendez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on her two felony warrants.
