Woman arrested on vehicle theft want after being seen putting unpaid merchandise into purse early Thursday morning

On Thursday, July 6th, 2023, at 2:49 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious person at Walgreens, 1591 Geer Rd, Turlock, who had been seen putting unpaid merchandise into her purse.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and contacted a woman who identified herself as Danielle Anderson, 31, of Turlock.

When officers had their dispatcher run Anderson, they discovered that she was locally wanted for driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner, and also had a $25,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Tuolumne County for driving under the influence of drugs, falsely identifying to a peace officer, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anderson was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner, as well as her warrant.
