Woman driving stolen vehicle arrested with meth Friday night

On Friday, January 27th, 2023, at 8:05 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Carl’s Jr., 100 N Walnut Rd, Turlock, observed a driver violating the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on her.

As the officer gave his dispatcher the vehicle’s license plate, she informed him that it had been reported stolen, so a high-risk stop was conducted.

The vehicle’s driver, later identified as Blanca Mulgado, 42, of Turlock, was removed from the vehicle and detained without incident.

The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and Mulgado was discovered to have a $50,500 felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death.

Mulgado was arrested and a search of her person incident to arrest led to the discovery of methamphetamines.

Mulgado was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner, buying or receiving a stolen vehicle, and possession of methamphetamines, as well as her warrant.
