Turlock Hit and Run Leaves Drivers License Behind

At about 11:55 pm Friday night, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported hit and run vehicle collision with no injuries in front of 7 Star Liquor, 952 Lander Avenue, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a blue Honda sedan and the other was a white Dodge minivan.

Both vehicles only had one occupant, their drivers. The driver of the blue Honda sedan did not suffer any injuries. It is currently unknown if the driver of the white Dodge minivan suffered any injuries, as she fled the scene on foot prior to officers’ arrival.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away.

It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.

Officers found a driver’s license left behind in the hit and run vehicle and a witness was able to positively identify the holder of that license as the woman who was driving the vehicle.

The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to call Officer Gregory Roton at 209-668-6536.
