Woman Sitting on Railroad Tracks Arrested With Meth for Sale

At about 12:29am Wednesday, Turlock Police Officer Macias got out with two suspicious persons in the 500 block of S. Kilroy Road.

A man and woman were sitting on the railroad tracks just west of the roadway.

Macias made contact with and identified the two, including Sherrel Tapley, 60, of Turlock.

When Macias had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered Tapley had a $10,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Merced County for trespassing.

Tapley was arrested and a search of her person incident to arrest led to the discovery of methamphetamines in a quantity and packaging indicative of sales.

Tapley was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and her warrant.
