On Saturday, March 4th, 2023, at 10:15 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Andre Ln and W Minnesota Ave, Turlock, recognized and got out with a woman who was the suspect in a robbery he had taken six months prior.

The officer had his dispatcher run the woman, Michelle Kumar, 36, of Modesto, and it was confirmed that she still had a warrant for the incident, a $50,000 local felony warrant of arrest for robbery. She also had two additional misdemeanor bench warrants out of Modesto, the first being a $3,000 one for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the second being a $55,555 one for contempt of court.

The robbery occurred the night of Monday, September 19th, 2022, at Walgreens, 1591 Geer Rd. Kumar was shoplifting from the business and pushed an employee out of her way as she was fleeing with unpaid merchandise, upgrading misdemeanor shoplifting to felony robbery. One of the responding officers was able to identify Kumar as the suspect which is how the warrant was issued.

Kumar was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on her warrants.
