At about 12:51am Sunday, Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at Stop N Save Liquors in the 800 block of E. Main Street.

The caller reported that the employee had just pulled a knife on her.

While officers were enroute, they received a call from the clerk stating he thought the original caller was under the influence of drugs. He stated that he did have a knife at the register, but it was for cutting boxes and he never brandished it at her.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted both parties, including the original caller who was identified as Shanon Hayes, 47, of Twain Harte.

Hayes was acting erratically and not making any sense.

When officers had their dispatcher run Hayes, they discovered she had a $2,000 local misdemeanor bench warrant for theft.

Hayes was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on her warrant.
