Angelus Street Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Police Investigating

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a shooting where the victim was found shot in the 300 block of Angelus Street, and then later died.

At approximately 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, Turlock Police officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 300 block of Angelus Street.

According to Turlock Police Lieutenant James Silveira, shortly after arrival, officers located a middle aged male down in the alley with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

Once the identity of the victim has been determined and their next of kin has been notified, the victim’s name will be released.

This is an active investigation with limited details. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.
